From 1 October 2026, the price of Xero subscriptions will increase in New Zealand.

This year, Xero delivered a wave of new capabilities to make the software faster, more insightful, and smarter behind the scenes.

*note, if you use Xero Payroll for more than 10 employees on your Ultimate plan, the price for each additional employee will increase from NZ$1 to NZ$2 per employee per month.

If you're paying more for your software, it's worth making sure you're getting the most value from it.

Xero is much more than a bookkeeping platform; used effectively, it provides real-time financial information that can help you make better business decisions throughout the season.

Some features worth exploring include:

  • Bank rules that automate transaction coding.
  • Receipt capture using the mobile app.
  • Real-time collaboration with your MBS advisor.
  • Instant visibility of your business performance.

Three reports worth checking this month

Profit & loss report

See how your income and expenses are tracking against expectations.

Cash summary report

Monitor cash coming into and leaving your business so there are no surprises.

Having access to live financial information means you can respond to changes quickly, rather than waiting until year-end to understand how your business has performed.
